THE JOB

As a Merchandiser, you will work with the Buying, Sales and Design teams to create the optimal assortment for our client. Hereby you make sure that there is an ultimate result in turnover, margin and turnover rate with the healthiest possible stock mix. You will prepare the financial plan for the assortment, including promotional strategy, retail and commercial targets. In this varied role, you carry a lot of responsibility. After all, your decisions are quickly and clearly visible to our client. In addition, together we are always looking for improvement and efficiency. Your role in this is great; you are constantly looking for the optimal completion of the assortment and adjust your plans accordingly. You communicate clearly with all stakeholders and manage clear expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creating our merchandise plan based on store, market analysis and trends;
• Managing the Open To Buy (OTB) by forecasting and optimizing sales, margin & inventory levels;
• Establishing option plan, continuously responding to customer needs;
• Advising on pricing and promotions;

Requirements

• HBO degree in Economics, Business Administration and highly developed analytical skills;
• At least 4 years of work experience in a similar position in a retail environment;
• Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills
• Result & commercial driven
• Great knowledge of Microsoft Excel (for example pivot tables and VLOOKUP is required)
• Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language in word and writing is a requirement.
